Remnant
Remnant is a discipleship program for teeangers and is a part of Millennium Youth Church. The goal of Remnant is to train students to go from being spiritual seekers to fully engaged students in volunteerism and everyday Christianity. Remnant has multiple sessions throughout the year, each typically run for a duration of two months. The summer session is the largest in attendance and scope due to summer vacations from school. Other sessions throughout the year do not require as much commitment from students.
Remnant typically includes semi-formal classes by a designated teacher designed to encourage a student to improve in a certain area. Class lengths are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour with the content determined by the teacher.
Remnant Board
Remnant is assisted by the Remnant Board, a group selected by the Discipleship Director each term made up of high school seniors. During each Remnant session, seniors in high school submit applications to be part of the Remnant Board. Once approved, these students assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing direction and effectiveness of Remnant. Throughout each session, the roles, challenges, and duties of the Board evolve to fit the emphasis of the program.
