MYC: Millennium Youth Church

Millennium Youth Church (MYC) provides a place for teenagers to engage in worship, hear the Word of God through relevant messages, interact with other teens, and have fun. Millennium Youth Church is designed with teenagers in mind. We exist to AWAKEN, EQUIP, and MOBLIZE teenagers to live the revolution of authentic Christianity. MYC meets on Wednesday nights at 7 PM in the Millennium Youth Center auditorium.

What do we teach in MYC?

Millennium Youth Church has five core values: reproduce yourself, lead from the integrity of your heart, do all things with excellence, go big or go home, and have fun doing all of the above!

With those five values come our teaching themes:
Sin, Salvation, Prayer, Praise & Worship, Sacraments, Baptism, Holy Spirit, Grace, & Dating.

What does an MYC service look like?

An MYC service has several main components that work together to offer a life-changing experience for teens. Our service has a special worship time with several songs. A portion of the service is devoted to hearing a Bible-based message preached by a pastor or staff member and we have a time for giving an offering. We also make sure to incorporate plenty of fun into the service, including clever video announcements.

Can students invite friends?

We encourage all of the students attending MYC to bring their friends. They can invite their friends by giving them a printed MYC information handout or by word of mouth.

How can parents and other adults help?

Millennium Youth Church can't serve teenagers at the capacity we do without the help of adult and parent volunteers. We have a special training and qualification program for those interested in helping out. Training takes place twice a year, with a session at the beginning of the fall school year and a session at the beginning of the year in January.

Other MYC Events

We make it a point to provide other ways for students to get involved outside the regular Wednesday night services. We have guys night/girls night, music boot camp, drama boot camp, movie nights, trips to local conferences, summer camp, and summer mission trips.

What are Tribes?

Tribes is the name of an MYC program that helps Middle School and High School students build relationships with others who go to their school. We make sure the students are grouped together so they automatically have something in common. Within each of the four Tribes, students work and hang with each other and with adult leaders sanctioned by MYC.
